Our second Bloodhound, Cosby, came to us from Jo-Li Bloodhounds. When we found out that Joe and Lisa were going to breed Clue (Jo-Li's Be-Coz Ms Peacock Did It) one last time, we immediately knew we were very interested. They chose James (Quiet Creek’s Shaken Not Stirred) as the sire of the litter, he is a gorgeous boy owned by Jan Rothwell.

It was a hard decision choosing Cosby, as there were a number of nice boys in the litter. However, something about the "yellow boy" just said, "Pick me!" Cosby has proven to be quite the dominant little puppy, but he is also as sweet as can be. He and Maizey are practically inseparable, and she has raised him to be a gentleman. Having Maizey around to help me train Cosby has been wonderful, and she has done a beautiful job!

Cosby had limited showing as a young dog, but did very well in the ring. I couldn't be happier with his manners and obedience in the conformation ring, though it took a LOT of work! Cosby earned his championship as a adolescent and was immediately neutered and will be staying home keeping Trigger company while I am on the road showing my girls. Though I do really miss showing Cosby, he has a challenging temperament, which is best managed at home where we can control his environment.

Of all the dogs, Cosby is the best with our daughter, Megan. He is incredibly patient, slow moving and gentle with her. It is a bit ironic when you think about it, but we are relieved they do so well together. We never let Megan be alone with any of the dogs at any time, but with supervision, there is no doubt that Cosby is her best bud! He is a smart dog with a gentle heart, there are just certain things that upset him, which we try to eliminate from his life entirely.

Again, we can not thank Joe and Lisa Ivey (Jo-Li Bloodhounds) enough for letting Cosby join our family. I would be lost without this boy! He has been a huge support for me during some hard times. It is difficult to describe his way, but he is very comforting and very understanding, although a bit cranky. I wouldn't trade Cosby for the world!!!
